Dr Ward is a Consultant Psychiatrist and the Medical Director of both Northside St Leonards and Wentworthville Clinics. He has a special interest in the treatment of alcohol and other addiction disorders.
He specialises in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of individuals who are experiencing problems with their physical and/or mental health as a result of the use of alcohol or other any other substances.
Dr Ward provides treatment on both an inpatient (hospital) and outpatient basis.

About Dr Ward
Dr David Ward is a medical doctor with specialist qualifications in psychiatry and an interest in the treatment of alcohol and other addiction disorders. In addition to his private psychiatric practice, Dr Ward was for a number or years an Addiction Psychiatrist at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
Prior to commencing his medical studies, Dr Ward worked in the public and private sectors in senior business roles in both Sydney and Melbourne.
He holds a Master of Psychiatry degree from The University of Melbourne and also holds degrees in economics, marketing and public affairs.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr Ward plays the cello and performs regularly with Corpus Medicorum, the orchestra of the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Additional Services
Dr Ward is available for comprehensive outpatient assessments, at the request of the treating General Practitioner, to provide an individualised management plan which may include medication psychological and or/social interventions.
